SINCE
1972 Vincent Vallone has been continually working on the
perfection of the BCD soft blast system. Working closely in
the many aspects of safety in the Hotel industry and the
Walt Disney World Company, good housekeeping magazine
elected Vince Vallone to chair the slips and falls division
for the National safety Council of American out of Itasca,
Chicago. Working with the American Society of testing
Materials (A.S.T.M.) The main stream recognized by all legal
Standards, such as OSHA Standards, consumer products safety
commission and many other entities on all type of surfaces
from all type of bathtubs cast iron, Steel, Fiberglass,
tiles, marble, granite and concrete pool deck walk ways etc.
with outstanding results.
Once the KOHLER Company realized the extent of our process,
they sent down several engineers to do further research on
our process. We sent samples of several bathtubs back in
1981, After Kohler saw the unique process they hired the BCD
Company to soft blast the entire 800 room Ohara Hilton
Airport Hotel in Chicago, since the Kohler factory slip
resistance method had failed in the warranty time frame.
Shortly after, The Hilton, Marriott, Omni, Hyatt, Holiday
Inn and many other major hotel industry related Management
companies, found Mr. Vallone’s process to be one of the best
portable slip guards known to man. The process was then
tested by Robert Kohr head of Marriott Safety for many
years. Mr. Kohr has set standards across the Hotel industry
and has made a huge impact with the many Corporations. Since
then we have obtained the finest reputation in Hotel safety.
After testing BCD back in the late 70’s and early 80’s Mr.
Robert Kohr set out to find the ultimate slip guard for
tub’s and shower or bathing areas for the Marriott
Corporation. Vince Vallone’s BCD soft blast process beat out
20 other companies in Washington DC and was awarded the gold
metal of safety throughout Marriott international. Mr.
Vallone has been sharing and implementing this process to
date and wishes to have this as a method of protecting to as
many travelers as possible.
